I was dumped via e-mail once. That's about as cowardly as it gets... of course the post-it note breakup from an episode of Sex and the City does beat an e-mail breakup...

Actually, I have to fess up. I dumped someone by email...twice. (yes, the same person.) However, in my defence, the guy was avoiding me and it was my only option. Trust me, if I could have broken up to him face-to-face or over the phone, I would have! At least the first time.
The second time (because, yes, I am a slow learner), he was just a total jerk and I didn't feel that I owed him anything more than that.
